At Lessonarity, we want you to be completely satisfied with our AI-powered teaching assistant platform. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are provided and the process for requesting them.

1. REFUND ELIGIBILITY
1.1 Initial Purchase Refunds
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with Lessonarity Premium, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.
To qualify for an initial purchase refund:
- The refund request must be made within 14 calendar days of your first payment
- This applies only to your first subscription purchase (not renewals)
- You must contact us at admin@lessonarity.com to request the refund
- Provide your account email and reason for the refund (optional but helpful)
1.2 Subscription Renewals
No Refunds for Renewals: Subscription renewals are not eligible for refunds. You can cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges, but we do not provide refunds for renewal payments.
Why? You have already experienced the service during your initial subscription period and chose to continue by not canceling before the renewal date.
1.3 Partial Month Refunds
- We do not provide partial or pro-rated refunds for unused portions of your billing period
- If you cancel during a billing period, you retain access until the end of that period
- No refunds are issued for cancellations made mid-billing cycle
1.4 Free Tier
The Free tier does not involve any payments, so refunds do not apply. Users can downgrade from Premium to Free at any time.
2. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
2.1 Refund Request Process
To request a refund within the 14-day initial purchase window:

- Subject Line: "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]"
- Include:
- Your account email address
- Date of original purchase
- Reason for refund (optional but helps us improve)
- Confirmation that this is your initial purchase (not a renewal)
- Wait for Response: We will review your request and respond within 2-5 business days
2.2 Processing Timeline
- Review: 2-5 business days to review and approve eligible requests
- Processing: 5-10 business days for refund to be processed by Paddle (our payment processor)
- Bank Processing: Additional 3-7 business days for funds to appear in your account (depends on your bank)
- Total Time: Up to 14-21 business days from request to funds in account
2.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:
- Credit/debit card refunds appear as a credit on your statement
- PayPal refunds are returned to your PayPal account
- Other payment methods follow the respective processor's refund procedures
3. EXCEPTIONS AND SPECIAL CASES
3.1 Service Outages
If our service experiences significant downtime or disruptions:
- Extended outages (24+ hours) may qualify for account credits or pro-rated refunds
- Contact admin@lessonarity.com to discuss compensation
- Each case is reviewed individually based on impact and duration
3.2 Billing Errors
If you were charged incorrectly due to a technical error:
- Duplicate charges will be refunded immediately
- Incorrect amounts will be corrected and refunded
- Unauthorized charges will be investigated and resolved promptly
3.3 Account Termination
If we terminate your account for Terms of Service violations:
- No refunds are provided for accounts terminated due to policy violations
- This includes fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform
- Outstanding payments remain due
3.4 Discretionary Refunds
In exceptional circumstances, we may provide refunds outside of this policy at our sole discretion. Contact us at admin@lessonarity.com to discuss your situation.
4. CANCELLATION VS. REFUNDS
4.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Log in to your account at lessonarity.com
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
4.2 What Happens When You Cancel
- Your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing period
- You keep access to Premium features until the end of your paid period
- No refund is issued for the remaining days in your current billing period
- Your account automatically downgrades to Free tier after the period ends
- Your content and data remain saved
4.3 Cancellation vs. Account Deletion
- Cancellation: Stops subscription but keeps your account and data
- Account Deletion: Permanently removes your account and all data
- Neither triggers an automatic refund
5. REFUND ABUSE POLICY
Prevention of Abuse: We reserve the right to refuse refunds or suspend accounts that show patterns of refund abuse.
Examples of refund abuse include:
- Multiple subscription purchases followed by refund requests
- Using the service extensively then requesting refunds
- Creating multiple accounts to exploit the 14-day refund period
- Fraudulent refund claims or chargeback disputes
Accounts identified as abusing our refund policy may be permanently banned from the service.
6. CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTES
6.1 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company:
- Please contact us first at admin@lessonarity.com before filing a chargeback
- Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication
- Chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension
- Chargeback fees may be passed on to you if the dispute is found invalid
6.2 Payment Disputes

- Include transaction details, dates, and amounts
- We will investigate and respond within 2-5 business days
- Legitimate errors will be corrected immediately
